On the show floor before the doors open
At a convention, timing works differently. Exhibitors need to be at the stand before visitors arrive; speakers want a quiet half hour before their slot; buyers like to walk the halls while they are still calm. So when you book, give us the time you need to be inside the building, not just the date. We count back from there, allowing the usual two to two and a half hours from Pattaya to central Bangkok and a little extra for the weekday morning rush. Build-up and breakdown days often start earlier or finish later than the public hours, so tell us which kind of day it is.
A Van Pattaya to QSNCC booking is a straight run. You are picked up at your hotel, condo or office in Pattaya and dropped at the convention centre, with no changes, no meter and no debate about which taxi carries the display boxes. If colleagues are staying at different hotels in Pattaya, send us every address and we plan the pick-ups in order and confirm the price in chat.
Samples, roll-up banners and a team of nine
The Toyota Commuter van seats nine and takes eight standard bags, which on a trade-show trip usually means a mix of suitcases, product boxes and a few banner tubes. If you are bringing something long or heavy, tell us the size in chat so we can confirm it fits well before the day. Boxes taped shut and labelled with your stand number are quicker to unload at the kerb and easier to spot if they are carried in separately.
- Send the name of the event and the entrance or hall you need
- Put one phone number in the chat for the driver to call on arrival
- The kerb gets busy at closing time, so agree a pick-up point in advance
- Several days in a row, or a return the same evening? We price it in chat before you go
Where the convention centre sits in the city
The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center is in Khlong Toei, beside Benchakitti Park and a short distance from Lumphini Park and the Asok stretch of Sukhumvit. It has its own MRT station, and there are plenty of business hotels within easy reach, so some visitors stay nearby for the event and head back to Pattaya when it closes. Because it is central, the fare is the same as any central Bangkok address: ฿1,900 for the whole van, or from ฿1,200 for a sedan if you are travelling alone with a laptop bag. Tolls and fuel are included, and you pay the driver in cash after the van Pattaya to QSNCC ride.
Visiting as a delegate rather than exhibiting? The same idea works on a smaller scale. A sedan gets one or two people from a Pattaya hotel to the registration desk without anyone needing to work out Bangkok's expressways, and you can spend the ride reading the programme or answering email instead of watching the road.
