Worth the early start
Safari World is one of those places children talk about for weeks afterwards. It comes in two halves: the Safari Park, where you ride slowly past the big animals roaming in the open, and the Marine Park, a walk-around zoo with the shows most families plan their day around. It sits out on the north-eastern edge of Bangkok, which from Pattaya means the better part of the morning on the road.
That drive is exactly why groups ask us for a van. Two taxis means splitting the family, two meters and two drivers to coordinate. One van means the grandparents get a proper seat, the stroller goes in the back with the cool bag, and nobody has to navigate. It is the kind of outing where three generations end up in one vehicle, and a Van Pattaya to Safari World booking is built for exactly that.
How the day usually goes
Tell us the time you want to walk through the gate and we work backwards — plan on roughly two to two and a half hours from Pattaya, more on a Friday afternoon when Bangkok traffic builds. Your driver takes you straight to the main entrance, so the first thing the kids see is the park, not a car park.
For the trip home you have two choices. Book a separate ride back for a fixed time, or ask for a same-day return price and keep the same driver and van for the day. Either way, the price is agreed in chat before you leave, and you pay in cash at the end.
- Leave early: the Safari Park is at its best in the cooler morning hours
- Pack water, hats and sun cream — the Marine Park is mostly outdoors
- Need a child seat? Ask when you book and we will tell you what we can arrange
- Going on to a Bangkok hotel or a flight afterwards? Mention it and we quote that leg in the same chat
Pick the car that fits your group
The price is for the whole vehicle, not per person, and it already covers tolls and fuel. A couple travelling light is fine in a sedan; a family of four with a stroller is happier in the Innova or Fortuner. From five people up, or whenever there is a lot of luggage, the Toyota Commuter van is the one — nine proper seats and room for eight bags, which is why it is the car most families choose for the van Pattaya to Safari World run.
