Van Pattaya to Ari

Ari is the quieter side of Bangkok: leafy sois, small cafés and low-key apartment buildings around BTS Ari, north of the centre. A private van brings you there from Pattaya with no changes on the way.

Cafés, trees and a slower pace of Bangkok

People choose Ari because it does not feel like downtown. The neighbourhood spreads out from BTS Ari along Phahonyothin Road, with shaded side streets full of independent coffee shops, small restaurants and residential buildings. It suits a longer stay, a visit to friends who live in the city, or a few days of working from a café rather than sightseeing from a tour bus. The skytrain is right there when you do want to go into the centre.

Because it sits north of the main business districts, the drive from Pattaya is a little different from a run to Sukhumvit. Plan on roughly two to two and a half hours, and more if you reach Bangkok during the evening rush. Arriving mid-morning or after dark is usually smoother, so if your check-in time is flexible, ask us which pickup time makes the most sense for the day you travel.

Finding the right lane in Ari

Many addresses in Ari are down small sois off the main road, and some of those lanes are narrow, with parked cars on both sides. A street name alone is rarely enough here. Send a map pin, the building name, or a photo of your booking confirmation, and the driver will plan the last few hundred metres before setting off. Where a lane is too tight for a full-size van, you are dropped at the nearest practical point, right by the turn-off.

  • Share a map pin rather than just “near BTS Ari”
  • Staying with friends? Give us their phone number in case the driver needs directions
  • Arriving at a condo? Mention whether there is a drop-off area by the lobby
  • Moving in with a lot of luggage? Tell us the number of bags so we send the right car

Why a van beats a bus and two trains here

You could reach Ari by public transport, but with suitcases it means a bus to Bangkok, then a transfer to the skytrain, then dragging everything along a soi in the heat. A van Pattaya to Ari skips all of that: you load the bags once in Pattaya and unload them once at your door. The Toyota Commuter seats nine and fits eight bags, which helps when you are bringing a family or a few months of belongings.

The fixed price for the whole vehicle is confirmed in chat before the trip, with tolls and fuel included. There is no deposit and you pay the driver in cash after the ride. Smaller cars are available for one or two people. Planning to come back, or to stop somewhere on the way? Return trips and extra stops are priced in chat before you go. Every Van Pattaya to Ari booking is private — just your group in the car.
