An evening plan, not a morning one
Asiatique The Riverfront is a night market and open-air mall on the Chao Phraya, laid out around old riverside warehouses on Charoen Krung Road. In the middle of the day it is quiet. It starts to fill once the heat drops: stalls open up, restaurants put tables out by the water and the big Ferris wheel turns slowly over the whole place, lit up against the dark river. Couples come for dinner, families come for the wheel, and almost everyone leaves with a bag or two of shopping.
That timing shapes the trip. Plan on two to two and a half hours from Pattaya, and remember that late afternoon is when Bangkok traffic is at its heaviest. If you want to be walking along the river at sunset, leave after lunch rather than at four. Tell us when you would like to arrive and we will suggest a pickup time that leaves some slack.
Sorting out the ride home before you leave
The part people forget to plan is the end of the night. After a long evening, with tired kids and shopping bags, nobody enjoys standing at the kerb trying to find a car willing to go all the way back to Pattaya. So decide it in advance. You can ask for a return price and keep the same driver and van, or book a separate pickup at a set time. Waiting time and the return leg are priced in chat before you go, so there is nothing to discuss at eleven at night.
- Agree a pickup spot you can find again in the dark — the entrance you walked in through is the easiest
- Wear comfortable shoes; the market stretches a long way along the river
- Shopping travels free: the van takes eight bags in the back
- Staying in Bangkok tonight instead? Send the hotel name and we will quote that drop-off in the same chat
One vehicle, one price, the whole group
A Van Pattaya to Asiatique The Riverfront booking is for the whole vehicle, not per seat. Tolls and fuel are included, there is no deposit, and you pay the driver in cash after the ride. A couple can take a sedan; a group of friends or three generations of one family usually take the Toyota Commuter, with nine proper seats and room for everybody's purchases on the way home. The fixed price for the car you choose is confirmed in chat before the trip.
If Asiatique is just one stop in a longer Bangkok day — a temple in the morning, a hotel check-in, then the river at night — say so when you message us. We can price the whole van Pattaya to Asiatique The Riverfront day in one go, or simply get you into the city with a Pattaya to Bangkok transfer and let you take it from there.
