Working back from the time on your appointment
On a hospital day the only time that really matters is the one on your appointment. Send it to us with your Pattaya address and we set the pickup with a sensible margin. The drive into Sukhumvit is usually two to two and a half hours, but weekday mornings heading into Bangkok can be slower, and registration at any hospital takes a little while. It is far better to sit in the lobby with a coffee than to watch the clock from a traffic jam.
Samitivej Sukhumvit is a private hospital off Sukhumvit Soi 49, in the quieter residential part of the road between Phrom Phong and Thonglor. Your driver goes to the entrance itself, not to the main road, so nobody has to walk far if they are not feeling well.
Travelling with children or the whole family
If children are coming — for their own check-up, or because the whole family travels together — a private vehicle takes a lot of stress out of the day. The bags, snacks, tablet and spare clothes go in before you leave, and you can stop if a small passenger needs a break. Tell us the children's ages when you book and we let you know what we can arrange for that date.
- Send the appointment time, not just the date
- Mention a wheelchair or walker so we send a vehicle with enough room
- If a relative is staying in Bangkok with a patient, their luggage comes too
- Keep the appointment details and your ID in the bag you carry with you
Not sure how long the visit will take? A long appointment is tiring, and nobody wants to stand in a taxi queue on Sukhumvit afterwards. Ask for a waiting price or a fixed return pickup time when you book; it is agreed in chat before you go, and the same driver takes you home.
Discreet, punctual, agreed in advance
We do not ask what your appointment is for, and neither will your driver. To book we need the pickup address, the date, the time you must be at the hospital and how many people are travelling — that is all. You book in WhatsApp or LINE, the driver arrives at the agreed time, and the rest of the conversation can be about the road or nothing at all.
The Van Pattaya to Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital fare is ฿1,900 one way for the whole Toyota Commuter, up to nine people and eight bags. Smaller cars from ฿1,200 suit one patient with a companion, and the full table is on this page. Tolls and fuel are included, there is no deposit, and you pay the driver in cash after the ride. For follow-up visits, book a van Pattaya to Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital the same way each time; a same-day return is priced in chat before you go.
