On the far bank of the Chao Phraya
Siriraj is one of Thailand's oldest and largest hospitals, and the teaching hospital of Mahidol University's medical faculty. It stands on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya, across the river from the Grand Palace and the old city. Coming from Pattaya, that means crossing central Bangkok and then the river itself, so the drive is a little longer than to the hospitals on the Sukhumvit side. Plan on two and a half hours or more, and treat any time saved as a few quiet minutes in the waiting room.
The hospital campus is large, with several buildings. If your appointment letter names a building or department, send us that detail and we will aim for the nearest entrance, so you are not walking the length of the grounds before you even check in.
Arriving early and unhurried
Tell us your appointment time and we work backwards from it, with a margin wide enough for a slow morning on the roads. For an early appointment that can mean leaving Pattaya while it is still dark; that is far better than watching the clock in traffic. The seats are comfortable, the air-conditioning is on, and if you need to stop on the way, just ask the driver.
- Send the appointment time and the building name from your letter
- Bringing a wheelchair, walker or crutches? Tell us so the right vehicle comes with room for it
- If the visit may run long, a ride home can be arranged — waiting time and the return are priced in chat before you go
- If your appointment changes, message us as soon as you know and we will rework the pickup
Private, quiet and agreed beforehand
This is your business, and it stays that way. It is just you, anyone you bring along, and the driver — no shared seats, no strangers, no questions about why you are going. A family member or friend travels in the same vehicle at no extra cost, because the price is for the car or van, not per person.
There is no published fare for this route, so the fixed price for the whole vehicle is confirmed in chat before the trip. It includes tolls and fuel and does not change on the day. You pay the driver in cash after the ride; there is no deposit. One or two people fit comfortably in a sedan; with a wheelchair or several relatives, the Toyota Commuter has more room. When you book a van Pattaya to Siriraj Hospital, a short message with your pickup address and appointment time is enough to start. A Van Pattaya to Siriraj Hospital ride is planned so that the only thing you need to focus on is the appointment itself.
