Working back from your appointment time
Start with one number: the time on your appointment letter. The drive from Pattaya usually takes two to two and a half hours, but morning traffic into Bangkok can stretch that, so we add a sensible margin and suggest a pickup time that gets you there early rather than just on time. If you need to register, fill in forms or have tests before seeing the doctor, mention it and we will build that in too.
Bangkok Hospital’s headquarters, the main hospital of the Bangkok Dusit Medical Services group, is off New Phetchaburi Road on Soi Soonvijai. The site has more than one building, so if your letter names a particular building or centre, send it with your booking. The driver then drops you at the right entrance rather than the general front of the complex. If you are not sure which entrance to use, ask the hospital when you confirm your appointment, and forward their reply to us in the same chat.
A calm ride for patients and the people with them
A Van Pattaya to Bangkok Hospital booking is a private car for your group only — no shared seats and no other passengers. That matters when someone is tired, anxious or simply wants a quiet trip. In the van there is room to stretch out, recline and bring a companion or two. We only need the basics to arrange the ride: names, pickup address and the time you need to arrive.
- Send the building or department named in your appointment letter
- Need a wheelchair or walking frame folded into the back? Tell us when you book
- Keep your documents and passport in your hand luggage, not in the back
- Ask the driver for a rest stop at any time if someone needs a break
Getting home after the visit
Hospital visits do not always finish when they are supposed to. You can book the return separately once you know when you will be done, or ask us to keep the same driver and car for the day. Return trips and waiting time are priced in chat before you go, so the cost is settled while you are still in Pattaya, not at the end of a long day.
The price for a private Toyota Commuter van is ฿1,900 one way for the whole vehicle, up to nine people with room for eight bags — our central Bangkok fare. For one patient and a companion, smaller cars start from ฿1,200. Tolls and fuel are included, there is no deposit, and you pay the driver in cash after the ride. Staying in Bangkok for a few nights near the hospital? The same van Pattaya to Bangkok Hospital booking can drop you at your hotel instead, and our Pattaya to Bangkok page covers the rest of the city.
