The building name matters more than the district
Sathorn is the stretch of Bangkok between Silom and the Chao Phraya: office towers, embassies, serviced apartments and big hotels along one of the city's main business roads. The road itself comes in two halves, North and South Sathorn, on either side of a canal, and the building you need is only on one of them. So the most useful thing you can send us is not "Sathorn" but the name of the hotel, tower or embassy, ideally with a map pin.
From Pattaya, plan on two to two and a half hours. Weekday mornings and the evening rush are the slow times in this part of town, and the last stretch can take longer than you expect. If you are heading in for a meeting, tell us when you need to be in the lobby, not when you would like to leave. The district is also a popular place to stay. Several of the city's larger hotels are here, and many visitors base themselves in Sathorn for its quieter evenings and easy reach of Silom's restaurants. Whether it is a check-in or a working day, the drive ends at the door you name, not on a corner nearby with your suitcases on the pavement.
For meetings, visas and check-in times
A lot of people going to Sathorn have a fixed time to keep: an embassy appointment, a client meeting, a hotel check-in before a long week of work. We plan the pickup backwards from that time and build in a margin, so you can arrive with a few minutes to read your notes rather than running from the car. The drive is private and quiet; nobody needs to know what your appointment is about.
- Send the exact address or a map pin, and say if it is North or South Sathorn
- Embassies often limit where cars can stop — your driver drops you as close to the gate as is allowed
- Travelling with suits, samples or a laptop bag? There is room behind the seats
- Need to get back to Pattaya the same day? Ask for a return price when you book
What the Sathorn fare covers
A Van Pattaya to Sathorn booking costs ฿1,900 one way for the whole Toyota Commuter van, nine seats and space for eight bags. Smaller cars start from ฿1,200 if it is just you and a colleague. Tolls and fuel are included, there is no deposit, and you pay the driver in cash after the ride.
Waiting during a meeting, a same-day return or extra stops on the way are priced in chat before you go. The van Pattaya to Sathorn price above is the same central-Bangkok fare as our Pattaya to Bangkok transfer, so if your plans move you to Silom or another nearby hotel, nothing changes.
