Soi 3, Soi 4 and everything in between
Nana is the stretch of lower Sukhumvit around Soi 3 and Soi 4, named after the BTS Nana station above the main road. It is one of the most hotel-dense corners of Bangkok, from budget rooms to large international hotels, and people stay here for very different reasons. Soi 4 is known for its nightlife. On the other side of the road, around Soi 3 and its little side lanes, is Bangkok's Arab and Middle Eastern quarter, with Lebanese, Egyptian and Indian restaurants, shisha cafés and shops that stay busy late into the evening.
Further along Soi 3 is Bumrungrad International Hospital, so Nana is also where many medical visitors and their families choose to stay, close enough to walk to a morning appointment. The skytrain on the corner links the area with Siam and Asok in a few stops, and plenty of guests come simply because it is a central, practical base with a wide choice of rooms. If the hospital is the reason for your trip, our van to Bumrungrad Hospital page covers appointment days in more detail.
Why door to door matters in these sois
Nana's side streets are narrow and often one-way, the pavements are uneven, and pulling two big suitcases from the skytrain stairs to a hotel halfway down a soi is nobody's idea of an arrival. A van Pattaya to Nana goes to the hotel entrance itself. Send us the hotel name, or the exact address if it is a serviced apartment or a condo, and your driver finds the right lane.
Plan on two to two and a half hours from Pattaya. Afternoons and Friday evenings can be slower on Sukhumvit, so if you have a dinner booking or a check-in time to meet, tell us and we suggest a departure time with some margin built in.
- Give the full hotel name — several hotels in the area have similar names
- Staying in a condo? Send the building name and a map pin in chat
- Travelling as a group with lots of luggage? The van takes eight bags
- Arriving before check-in time? Most hotels will hold your bags at the desk
One fare for the van, whoever is inside
Nana is part of our central Bangkok fare: ฿1,900 one way for the whole Toyota Commuter van, with tolls and fuel included. That is up to nine people, not per person, which makes it simple for families and groups of friends to share: one van, one fare, everyone and their bags arriving at the same time. Two people with two bags can take a smaller car from ฿1,200.
Going back to Pattaya after a few days, or making stops along the way, is priced in chat before you go, the same as any waiting time. A Van Pattaya to Nana booking needs no deposit; you pay the driver in cash when you arrive.
